{teigan & sawyer}

So Steve & I went this last weekend to get pictures taken of Teigan & Sawyer. We had this coupon for a portrait studio here in town so we thought we'd go there; we'd gone there many times before and never had any complaints. But for some reason this time was VERY different. They did a terrible job! And on top of that, they said that because we had 2 people forthe pictures, our coupon wasn't valid!! I was so mad! So long story short, we'd already paid for them so we went back later that day and made them give us more pictures for free. We learned our lesson! I'll stick with our regular photographers thank you very much! No amount of coupons will persuade me.

Last night, we had the pictures re-done. And this time I love them!! Teigan was a little stinker though...for some odd reason she's developed a fear of flashes. So it was really hard to get a good picture of her...but she managed to get a couple cute ones.

Family of FOUR?!?!

It was crazy to think that we were parents when we brought Teigan home from the hospital; now we have Sawyer and I'm strangly comfortable with it all. I know that its because we've already been through the new parents stage and so we know what we are in for, but I can't help but feel more complete and at peace with the newest addition to our family.

Teigan has been such a trooper. She's handling everything so well. She, of course, has her tantrums like every 2 year old does. But it's nothing above and beyond the norm. She loves to help change Sawyer's diapers; she's facinated with his belly button. Her newest fettish is spraying the rash cream on his little "tooshie" (as she likes to say). As for me, I'm still trying to get the hang of changing a boy's diaper. I keep telling myself that there has to be some sort of pattern to it all but there's NOT!! It's completly random! The first time I tried changing him was in the NICU...needless to say I was not prepared for a boy's anatomy! Pee went all over the crib, the walls, the window sill and the equipment and machinery!!! I felt so bad! The nurse came in and just started laughing. She thought it was very funny, I just felt so embarassed!!

As for the rest of things, everything is going well. Steve goes back to work on Wednesday...and I am a bit nervous to be here by myself. Mostly because I haven't been getting Teigan ready in the mornings and so I'm nervous that I won't be able to get her, Sawyer and myself ready before noon! I'm crossing my fingers though, that everything will be alright. I'm sure it will...right?

Sawyer cuddling up in his blanket...awww.

Thanksgiving morning. Teigan loved holding Sawyer!

Sawyer Update

Well, we are home at last! At our daily evaluation yesterday morning, all the doctors and nurses were spatting out their numbers and levels when they said that since he went most of the night without his I.V. (it went bad some time in the night) and was able to keep his blood sugar up, then we would go two more feedings and see if he can keep it up. If he could then they would let us go home. I was thrilled!! So his first feeding was excellent and his blood sugar was way up! That was at about 1-1:30 pm. We went back to our room to try and catch a quick nap when at around 2:30 the nurses called and said he was hungary again and so we went and fed him again and everything was great!! But before we could go, they made us watch this painfully long (1 hour) video on CPR. It covered EVERYTHING from infants to adults...which is great but when you are anticipating on leaving...it was horrible! But we were able to get everything squared away and him home by 5 last night. It was so wonderful having him home and being a family again.

Well I promised pictures...I added some video too. Enjoy! We sure are!
